Leisure in Benidorm
Benidorm has 3 theme parks:
Aqualandia water park has the highest slide in Europe and the tallest slide-capsule in the world. You can also enjoy the relaxation area, such as the Spa Niagara and Iguazú, with its fun and relaxing waterfalls and water jets. Any better plan to have fun and fight the heat?
If you prefer an amusement park and adrenaline Terra Mítica can help you. Enjoy its 15 attractions, but also has an aquatic area within the park.
Finally, Terra Natura is a new generation animal park, with zoo immersion, where you can observe and make contact with animals in spaces designed to recreate the habitat of each of the species through invisible barriers to be human.
The great viewpoint at the Bali Hotel
One of the elements that most characterizes the city of Benidorm are its skyscrapers and therefore also their views.
Hotel Bali is a hotel complex of more than 60,000 m2, located on the beach of La Cala next to the beach of the west. It is a building of 52 floors, therefore this makes it the tallest building in the province of Alicante and the Valencian Community with a height of nothing less than … 186 METERS!
Prepare your camera and enjoy the views.
Up to the viewpoint costs € 5 per person and € 1, if you are a hotel guest.
Water skiing on cable-ski
If adventure is your thing, we recommend Benidorm cable-ski, there are only two in Spain and Benidorm has one of them. It is a circuit of 1,000 square meters of perimeter, with 4 towers joined together by a cable that allows water skiing without the need for boat propulsion.
Rent a kayak
If Benidorm is impressive for its skyscrapers, you can’t miss the popular Mediterranean Sky-Line of Benidorm. From the sea you can see the image of all the skyscrapers in front of its coast. For this we recommend you rent a kayak and enjoy the sport and the visits offered by the city.
La Cruz de Benidorm
One of the essential stops if you go to Benidorm is to visit La Cruz de Benidorm a monument located in the Natural Park of the Serra Helada of the city.
Here you will have one of the best views of the city and can be accessed by foot or by car.
Curiosity: If you know the program Late Motiv, you will recognize the background of the set …. Yes it is! It’s a photo from La Cruz de Benidorm, where you can see the whole city of Benidorm at night illuminated by the lights of the buildings
Walk around the city
If you prefer a quieter plan and want to enjoy maritime walks, the Mirador del Castillo will not be disappoint you. Popularly they call it the “Balcony of the Mediterranean”. It is located on the large rock “Punta Canfalí” separating the two beaches of Benidorm, previously it was a fortress that served as a defense against the incursions of Algerian and Berber pirates, in the XIV, XV and XVI centuries.
Later the Castle was abandoned. Currently there are only some remains of the walls, which lie on the rocks of the viewpoint.
Walk the beaches and coves
For all those who love the sun and the sea, we recommend some beaches and coves that you can not miss. In the city of Benidorm we find La Playa de Levante, known for its nocturnal, tourist and international atmosphere. Walk from the Rincon de Loix to the cliffs of the Castle.
As for La Playa de Poniente, its biggest tourism is the national one. It is a quiet and familiar beach, characterized by its fine sand and collected by a promenade where there are many restaurants, children’s play areas and activities such as volleyball, etc.
Finally, there is La Playa del Mal Pas, a small urban beach with calm and uncrowded water that separates the two beaches of Levante and Poniente.
A few minutes by car, leaving the city center, we find La Cala de La Almadrava and La Cala del Tío Ximo. Ideal for snorkel lovers!
